Wendy Gourley<\/strong> is a freelance playwright and dramaturg who is currently working on a Masters
\nof Communication and Storytelling at East Tennessee State University. She was the Playwright-
\nin-Residence for the Noorda Regional Theatre Center for Children and Youth and graduated
\nfrom Utah Valley University (UVU) in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in playwriting. She has
\nwritten plays for the Noorda Theatre, Resonance Story Theatre, and is currently working on
\nExtraordinary Magic<\/em> for the revamped Young Ambassadors at Brigham Young University. Her
\nplays, The Story Stone<\/em> and Making Mochi on the Moon<\/em>, were National Bonderman
\nSymposium\/Write Now semi-finalists and have been finalists\/semi-finalists in the Kennedy
\nCenter American College Theatre Festival – Region 8 playwriting contest, PLAYground festival
\nat Northwestern University, and New Plays for Young Audiences at NYU. Wendy was Suzan
\nZeder\u2019s new play\/production dramaturg for The Milk Dragon<\/em> at UVU. Her dramaturgy work on
\nUVU\u2019s Eurydice<\/em> garnered national awards: LMDA\/KCACTF Student Dramaturgy Fellowship,
\nnational finalist; Fellowship to the National New Play Dramaturgy Intensive, Kennedy Center;
\nand the LMDA\/ATHE Emerging Dramaturg Award.<\/p>\n
